Marutaro the hedgehog is an outgoing little fellow, and so it totally makes sense that he'd be excited at the prospect of making new friends.
Unfortunately (and pretty adorably), in the case of the video above, those "new friends" were pine cones. We can see where he might have gotten confused.
But don't worry: Marutaro has plenty of other spiny pals to hang out with instead.
